What is DNA
Metaverse Dualchain Network Architecture (DNA) is a parallel chain developed by the Metaverse Foundation. The DNA chain uses an innovative hybrid DPoS consensus algorithm and runs parallel to Metaverse ETP. DNA will remain decentralized while allowing for near-instant transactions and incorporating all of the features needed for a future-proofed digital finance ecosystem: integrated Lightning channels, on-chain digital identities, real-world data bridges, robust security and a standard for true interoperability. This is the most significant and ambitious upgrade to the Metaverse ecosystem to date, delivering comprehensive performance improvements.
The purpose of this project:
Metaverse (ETP) is a public blockchain platform which combines many powerful innovations within one ecosystem: the ability to create new digital assets (MST and MIT tokens), manage digital identities called Avatars, and utilize Oracles to bring real-world information on-chain. Metaverse has been used by a variety of companies to tokenize their businesses and take advantage of the benefits MST assets provide.
In early 2019, Metaverse launched the Pillars of Creation upgrade, which introduced a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm to complement the PoW system already in place. This increases the security of the platform and provides a less energy-intensive mining process, further improving the stability of the entire network.
As distributed ledger technology enters its second decade, there is a wide field of decentralized platforms designed to offer specific features. But all of these are separate, exclusive platforms with no inter-communication. The next generation of public blockchain will need to bring these features together seamlessly in one place if true adoption is ever to occur.
Dualchain Network Architecture (DNA) is designed to do just that. A second chain, powered by DNA tokens, will run parallel to Metaverse ETP and will operate on a delegated proof-of-stake consensus algorithm.
